How to Get to Jekyll Island

There are a number of ways to get to Jekyll Island whether you are driving, flying or taking ground transportation getting here is easy. Use the resources below to plan your transportation or contact our office for additional assistance and with any questions.

Directions to Jekyll Island Georgia

From Ocean Hwy/US-17 N/GA-520/GA-25.

  • Turn right onto Jekyll Island Cswy/GA-520.
  • Continue to follow GA-520 through the Toll Booth.
  • Enter next roundabout and take the 3rd exit onto N. Beachview Drive.
  • Turn right into the first parking lot, for Jekyll Island Beach Shops.
  • Jekyll Realty is located at 21 Main St Suite 107 just ahead of the shops in the Beach Village.
    • Adjacent to the Convention Center and across from Ameris Bank.
  • Look for teal and white hanging sign!

    Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes driving and just over 90 miles.

  • How Much is the Jekyll Island Toll?

    Access to the island is available year round and depending on how long you will be here and what your travel plans are you can buy the appropriate pass option.

    As of 5/24/2019 fees are as follows:

    • $8.00 for one day (Note: fees may increase for special events)
    • $38.00 for a 7-day pass
    • $55.00 for a 12-month AVI tag (Plus a one time charge of $13.00 for the tag)
    • $12.00 for all oversized vehicles (Taller than 8ft)

  • What Airport is Closest to Jekyll Island?

    30 minutes from Jekyll is Brunswick’s Golden Isles Airport with daily flights out of Atlanta (ATL).  International options include Savannah (SAV) and Jacksonville (JAX). All airports offer rental car, limo and shuttle options. Note that private pilots can arrange to use Jekyll Island Airport (09J).
