Location as advertised. Property grounds beautiful. House very clean and well maintained - pool a nice plus for the kids. Minor irritations - mower shot considerable grass into pool which we had to clean and pool maintenance did not clean frogs and crabs out of filter. Should clarify beach access description. The attractive short access to the beach is now gated off for environmental protection reasons and the easiest access is to drive to to St. Andrews. Not a big deal if we expected it but quite a dissappointment when we expected a short walk to the beach.

We loved Cumberland Cottage! The south end location of the island was great. It was very quiet and peaceful there. The house was quite spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The pool was a hit with all, especially the grandchildren. The landscaping is beautiful. While we were there the yard was mowed, trimmed and clippings cleaned up and a guy came and checked on the pool. The only challenging thing we encountered was that the recycles are scheduled for pick up every other week and by the time we left they were overflowing. But this wasn't by any means the fault of the owners. While We were there we enjoyed the golf, mini golf, bike riding, the water park, the dolphin tour and of course the beach! We bought a week pass to the island but never left! Everything was right there. We would highly recommend Cumberland Cottage and Jekyll Island. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

Great location on south side of Jekyll Island. The outdoor pool really makes this cottage, lots of room for everyone.

We had a great one week stay at Cumberland Cottage on Jekyll Island. The home had ample space and was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed exploring the island while having such a nice home base to relax from. We also enjoyed the convenience of having the pool.

We have been coming to Jekyll yearly for 32 years. We have stayed at five different locations but have been staying at Cumberland for the past 13 years. It is perfectly wonderful! The house itself, the pool, and the beautiful seclusion of the south end of the island, all go together to suit our family's needs very well. We have even come with only 3 family members, but it is worth the expense to be at Cumberland!

We have been coming to Jekyll for several years now. We have rented the same house every year with the exception of this year and we chose Cumberland Cottage for the first time. We absolutely loved it. We didn't even want to leave the house, I think it was because of the pool, but never the less we had a wonderful time this year and will hopefully be able to rent this house again next year. Thanks for providing a beautiful, safe, clean place to stay on our vacation.
