ATTENTION: The Jekyll Island State Park Authority has begun dune restoration for the northern section of Jekyll Island. As a result, beach access may be limited or nonexistent during certain times. There is still access via Driftwood Beach, which borders the Villas By The Sea property just to the north, or just a few minutes away by car to the Great Dunes Park area or Ocean View Park area opening Summer 2019. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We always go on a trip after Christmas to the beach. My husband and I visited Jekyll Island as children. My family began coming when I was 5 years old. We have a special love for Jekyll. We were thrilled to get to stay at Villas by the Sea. Our villa 185 was on the ocean. The villa was just right for my husband, son and his friend. It was very nice and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent there! We hope to come back again.

We enjoyed our stay. We were glad to find a place we could finally take our little dog. Ground floor living and kitchen were convenient for taking her out. Upstairs bedrooms were not as easy on us. The restaurant in the complex was the best food we had. I would highly recommend it.

I was very happy with the Villas by the Sea. Unit 185 was very nice. The decor was good, everything was clean, and worked good. I was happy that they provided some basics like shampoo (which some places don't).

The view is also different now thanks to Irma. The shrubbery shown in the photo is gone and you can see right to the rocks and the beach. I don't know what is planned to fix the landscaping that was damaged.

My only complaint about the property had to do with hosting of events. On Saturday night there was a wedding reception right next to the building the unit is in. It was done a little after 10, but still is annoying if you simply want to enjoy the peacefulness of the area.

Our recent trip to Jekyll Island was wonderful. So much nature to take in and enjoy. We loved the non-commercialized feel of Jekyll. The villas were the perfect setup for my family of 4. Very clean, everything provided, and super easy to check-in and check-out. Very near Driftwood Beach. The beach at Jekyll is not the place for sunbathing. But you can't help but relax on Jekyll Island.

I went woth my family to Villa 185. It was lovely. Unlike other places we have been to, it had the little dish soap, scrub, soap, shampoo and pther toileties. This makes it really nice not to have to bother eith that.
Place is nice, clean, right next to the beach. All I would suggest the owner is to change the shower head which sprayed everywhere except to the front !
